The best way to help us is by sponsoring a child, visiting an AmericaShare project while on safari or by making a general donation to support our ongoing initiatives. We would also be very grateful if you would let your friends and family know about AmericaShare, so that more people become aware of the issues in Africa and what we are doing to help.
All of it. Micato Safaris covers all administrative and operational expenses of AmericaShare, so 100% of your donation will go directly to the people we assist.
Due to the high costs involved in shipping supplies overseas, we suggest raising money instead. Supplies can easily be purchased in Kenya based on what is most needed at the time, and these supplies will generally be more suitable for the children.
It is a great idea provided you are raising funds rather than collecting supplies. As mentioned above, this is most practical and serves the needs of the children better.

We do not have a pen pal programme–however a group of U.S. students can sponsor a child through our School Sponsorship Programme. In this way, the students are not only writing letters to a child in Kenya; they are helping to change that child’s life.
